Do you enjoy working with children? Now, with a hybrid in-class and online curriculum at Bright Horizon Academy, you can play an increasingly important role in today’s classrooms.

In the Education Assistant program, you’ll learn how to support teachers and promote inclusive learning environments, while preparing for your new career through a blend of in-class and online training.

Designed to be more flexible than a traditional classroom, the program introduces alternative teaching strategies such as sign language, Boardmaker, and TouchMath. You’ll also learn how to develop individualized learning plans, while still receiving the one-on-one support you need to succeed academically.

Before graduating, you’ll complete two separate practicum placements totaling eight weeks. You’ll graduate with a strong set of marketable skills, preparing you to work in settings such as elementary and secondary schools, group homes, and youth centres.

Bright Horizon Academy is licensed by the Private Career College Branch of Alberta Advanced Education.
